Skirk is a long-awaited 5-star Cryo sword character, debuting in Genshin Impact Version 5.7. She was first mentioned as Tartaglia’s mentor and appeared briefly in the Fontaine storyline.

Overview:
Skirk functions as a flexible DPS unit who can be played both on-field and in quick-swap roles. She uses a unique mechanic called Serpent’s Subtlety, which is built by absorbing Void Rifts. These rifts appear when party members trigger Cryo-related reactions such as Frozen, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Cryo Crystallize.

Ability Summary:

Normal Attack – Havoc: Sunder
Performs up to five rapid sword strikes.

Charged Attack
Throws a crystal spear, dealing area damage in front.

Elemental Skill – Havoc: Warp
– Tap: Enters Seven-Phase Flash mode, imbuing her Normal Attacks with Cryo and enhancing damage, range, and resistance to interruption.
– Hold: Absorbs nearby Void Rifts while moving quickly, even across water.

Elemental Burst – Havoc: Ruin
Consumes Serpent’s Subtlety to deal instant AoE Cryo damage with multiple slashes.

Alternate Burst – Havoc: Extinction
If used during Seven-Phase Flash mode, it absorbs nearby Void Rifts and significantly boosts Normal Attack damage.

Talents:

Reason Beyond Reason
Generates Void Rifts when allies trigger Cryo-based reactions. Each absorbed rift grants 8 Serpent’s Subtlety.

Return to Oblivion
When Hydro and Cryo allies deal elemental damage, Skirk gains the Death Crossing buff, boosting her attack power in Seven-Phase Flash mode and strengthening Havoc: Ruin.

Mutual Weapons Mentorship
If the party has at least one Hydro and one Cryo member, and all are either Hydro or Cryo, each member gains +1 to Elemental Skill level.

Team Strategy:
Skirk works best in teams that can consistently trigger Cryo reactions. She pairs well with Hydro characters to create Freeze, or with Electro for Superconduct. She offers mobility, strong Cryo damage, and a burst mode that scales with how well you manage Serpent’s Subtlety.
